OLDBOY

ts a psychological thriller that is actually based on a manga novel. i have known this movie for quite sometime now i don't know why for some reason i feel that the movie just going to bore me knowing all the highly great reviews that the movie receiving, I'm still not buying it i feel i need more motivation for me to watch it fully and give my all into it. so, years past and ive decided to go see it. it started out a bit slow you know the lead got into prison for a crime he himself had no idea. for whole 15 years he's in prison his only connection to the outside world was his small tv set. then day came for his revenge to the person who got him locked up in prison and make his life a utter mess! he got out, fight back, met this hot young chick where he fell in love with. so that's pretty much all it. he got his revenge plus a new found love. BUT! you think that's all it?! his enemy had actually planned all out everything from the moment he kidnapped oh dae-su up to finding a new love life. so, the joke was on him! (oh dae-su)
I'm not going into details anymore i don't wanna be the asshole who spoiled everything up. all i can is, this movie is so brilliant and mind blowing that it'll actually make you sick, fell on the floor, and shock you to death! now I'm pissed that it took me so long before watching it. this may be one the best asian films i have seen. a lil trivia though this actually is the 2nd installment of "chan-wook park's" VENGEANCE TRILOGY. i have already seen all of it but out of the 3 vengeance trilogy, OLDBOY is by far the best! just followed by "sympathy for mr. vengeance" and lastly "sympathy for lady vengeance"
this movie actually goes to my list as my #2 spot for my favorite movies of all time (of course the godfather as being my #1)

the revelation scene i swear will shock you to death, i almost fell on the floor when oh dae-su --------------.

and oh the 1 vs i don't know exactly how many guys he fight with scene so amazing! galing sobra! and i heard it just took one take. how unbelievable is that?!
