I started a joke. then it became serious! (IT WASNT ME!!!)

I'm so fucking busted! i didn't know that they'll make a big fuss out of it?! ok, so here's how the story goes...

the moment i heard that song (earlier this year i think) i fell in love with it. i keep on singing it every single day! then i suggested to julius "julie, gawa tayo ng cover nito pag kumanta tayo" he agreed naman and said no prob. then while i was searching for youtube i found this guy singing this song HE WAS SO AMAZING! its so nice to hear singing this song in a male perspective i, right away convert it into mp3 and started to download it and i even copied the way his voice sounds (well not quite, but closer). about 3 weeks or so, the mp3 male version of "thinking of you" was now installed on my playlist on my cellphone. (by the way i also downloaded a male version of "decode" just to impress julius. lol!). i first approaches billy "pare, gumawa kami ng male version ng "decode" and "thinking of you" wanna hear it?" while billy was listening to it, i carefully focus on his expression, will billy buy my 'supposed to be own version of it? or will i get busted? after hearing it, he then asked me "ilan ang nag gigitara sa "decode"? i said "isa lang" then he replied "ULOL! naririnig ko may nag rrythm eh. ano to sampu ang daliri ng nag gigitara?" then i just laughed. he got me! bummer! i thought my whole plan of impressing them where just all ruined. but then he said... "itong version mo ng katy perry. oo alam ko boses mo talaga to. saka amateur na amateur yung nag gigitara eh. ang galing ng pinsan mo mag gitara at ang ganda ng boses mo pre." SHIT! i didn't say anything i just smiled at him. =)

while we were on our way home billy kept on listening to "my own version of thinking of you" he keep on saying "ganda ng boses mo chay!" i didn't know if ill just laughed or tell him the truth. my conscience is starting to kill me! the following day while we were on the classroom, billy oh-so proudly told julius that i just made a cover of "thinking of you" and he should hear it. the 3 us all listen to it while the music is playing i closely both watched julius and billy's reaction and to my surprise julius said. "ikaw nga to chay! kilalang-kila ko boses mo eh!" tawa lang din ako. hehe. then julius called richard and ask him to listen to "my version" richard said 'ikaw yan?!" i just said "oo!" then julius keep on saying "oo nga! boses ni chay yan! alam ko boses ni chay ilang beses ko na narining kumanta yan eh!" richard was kind a bit skeptical and looked at the name of the playlist (last night by the way i changed the name of 'thinking of you-chay") and richard didn't say nothing at all. i thought that was all it! i mean no big deal its just the 4 of us who knows about it. so to clear all of their skepticism, i finally gave in and no i didn't told them but what i did was i sang it right in front of them. after they heard me singing it, man! they didn't recognize my own voice to the original one! they really actually thought that it is my own version of "thinking of you"! i thought i was going to be busted after listening to me singing it in person i wish i was, but i wasn't! after proving to them that that was in fact "my real" voice i really thought that's the end of it but i was wrong! since billy liked my version very much he decided to forward the song to his phone i just said it'll just be ok. so weeks later after that, it started to get worst! i didn't know that billy and julius were going to spread the news to everyone that they know of! first off, billy's older brother he said that he likes it and wishes someday he will actually hear me singing it in person. then comes julius girlfriend and so as her girlfriends friends they all loved it and were all praising me and i was like "wtf!" i wanted to tell him that "THAT WASN'T ME!!!!" then the other night, billy invited me sa inuman i barely know those people inside the room they were all friends of julius and billy. the moment i came in billy right away brag it! he said "ito pre yung vocalist namin, sya yung kumanta nung "thinking of you", chay! nagustuhan nila yung boses mo" and i was like "O..K", the worst part is they all wanted me to sing it in front of them! i just said "mya na, pag may tama na 'ko. hehe" the guy who is sitting in front of me said, "pre, gusto mo sa foundation day kanta tayo no?" that guy who just talked me also has his own band, vocalist sya sa banda nila. he was really impressed of what he just heard. he even wanted me to be part of their band cos they need another vocalist. i just said "sige sige ayos ang sakin" on my mind i was thinking "shit shit shit shit!!!!!" now I'm starting to freak out!!!

my supposed to be joke version of the song had actually spread all over through to a friend of a friend. earlier richard suggested that he will propose to the Dean a "acoustic band battle of different courses" if the dean approved we'll definitely going to sing "thinking of you" man, i really should practice more of my ass off! in time, i will tell to everyone that that wasn't me doing a cover of that song. good thing naman kasi medyo close enough yung voice ko to the actual singer. but still mas maganda parin syempre yung sa kanya. i know i shouldve told to them earlier that that wasn't me or better yet i really shouldve made it all up! nag sisisi na tuloy ako ngayon! di ko naman akalain na hahantong sa ganito!!

note: to those who have already heard it. HINDI AKO YUN!!

"WE HATED THE PHILIPPINES!" - THE BEATLES

When i heard Ringo utter those words "i hated the philippines!" my heart just stopped. isama mo pa dyan yung sinabi ni George "it was the most terrible experience ive ver had" plus ito pa ang malupit dyan! john & paul stated "we had no plans of coming back to the philippines". ouch! ang sakit sakit! if they only knew now that filipinos back then were such worship followers of the marcos regime then they would decide to make a comeback! but that can never happen cos as we all know john and george had already passed away. man! even either one of them (paul & ringo) decided to come visit here for a concert or even just for a vacation, im telling you i will make a huge poster of them.no. that will be a terrible idea. i will make pala a BILLBOARD OF THEM hangging along recto, manila covering the whole UE! kahit 20K ang pinaka malayong ticket KAKAGATIN KO YUN MAKITA KO LANG SILA IN-PERSON! kkidnappin ko si lucio tan mag ka pera lang ako makapunta sa concert nila LOL.but then again thats impossible cos they strongly vow to themselves that they will never go back here. but seriously, i couldnt blame they if they hate the philipines or the filipinos (specifically) that much. here's an article about what really happen during their visit here in the philippines.

"On July 3rd, the day prior the show, The Manila Sunday Times reported that the Beatles were invited to join the President and Mrs. Marcos (with their 3 children) to their Malacanang Palace at 11am. The Beatles knew nothing of this appointment, hearing only of a request for a short "pop-in" at the palace at 4pm which they respectfully declined due to the fact that their first show started at 4pm! The Beatles claimed they never received the earlier 11am invitation.

Much to the Beatles surprise, the palatial tyrants were extremely angered at the Beatles neglect and the morning after the concert, The Manila Times ran the headline "Imelda Stood Up!!". The ramifications were to become serious. Philippine promoter Ramon Ramos refused to pay the Beatles for their performance! Bomb and death threats were telephoned to the deluged British Embassy and to the boys hotel suite. Brian Epstein was so distressed with the situation he arranged for a press conference from the hotel to apologize for the misunderstanding. BUT...as fate would have it, some unforeseen static blipped out his interview from most all TV screens in the country! (more than a few thought it was probably more shenanigans by the Marcos clan).

Pulling more strings the next day when the Beatles were scheduled to depart the country, Misael Vera, Philippine Tax Authority, insisted the group could not leave the country until every penny of the taxes owed them was paid! Of course, they never got paid anything but Brian hurriedly forked over a bond out his own funds for P.74,450 (around $18,000) to settle the matter.

To make matters worse, all security detail assigned to the boys were withdrawn leaving them extremely vulnerable. They were literally kicked and jostled as they left their hotel and totally harassed all the way to the airport. Things were no better there where the airport manager has also removed all security for the Beatles. They went so far as to shut down the power to stop the escalators, forcing the boys to scale several flights of stairs with their own luggage, only to face an angry mob of 200 Filipinos brutally manhandling them! Ringo was literally floored by an uppercut and kicked on the ground. He suffered a sprained ankle as well and had to be helped to the customs area. Mal Evans and Brian Epstein were injured as well. Alf Bicknell suffered a cracked rib and a spinal injury.

When they finally approached the plane, a large booing crowd jeered and mocked them chanting "Beatles Alis Dayan!" (Go Home Beatles!) Once in the plane, some scraping government officials "decided" the Beatles were NOT authorized to leave the country due to inaccurate "check in" procedures days earlier... This led to another 40 minute wait on the Tarmac while Mal & Tony Barrow went back to the terminal to clean up the necessary paperwork. Only minutes after the Beatles angrily departed, did the press run a statement by President Marcos stating "Their was no intention on the part of the Beatles to slight the first lady or the government of the Republic Of The Philippines". Obviously a bit too late to do the Beatles any good.

The Beatles vowed to NEVER return and it's a vow they kept. It was, indeed, the scariest moment they ever experienced! Their next stop was India, for a planned few days of quiet and rest, but greeting them at the airport and their hotel were more than 600 screaming fans. They returned to England on July 8th. Five weeks later, on August 11th, they flew to Chicago to start their last American tour which, as we all know too well, had its own looming troubles. Needless to say, the Beatles clearly needed the break they gave themselves at the end of August when they performed their last live concert performance at San Francisco's Candlestick Park."

our generations today may not really get me for having such an ancient taste when it comes to music, but thats me. i dont know for such reason why am i so fascinated with the types of musics back then.LedZep, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, The Beach Boys, Jimi Hendrix just to name a few, but having said that THE BEATLES will always be my NO.1 top pick pang 2nd siguro si JIMI HENDRIX. even my dad find me weird cos he was just a baby when the time the beatles conquered the world during the 60's. theres only 2 persons that i have talk to and shared interest with with the beatles, that is Anthony who should i really give credit for cos he was the one who influnce me to their music, i was 3rd year high school back then and the other one was Tristan who i met in UE a B.A student he just graduated last march. i remember pag may inuman kami nila tristan kasama yung iba tropa kaming dalawa lang ni tristan ang nag kakaintindihan kasi sila di nila naggets ang music namin, we always sing along to the tune of "STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER"(one of my favorite Beatles song) hay i miss those times pre! but aside from them there is NONE! i feel such a loner now that tristan is gone in UE. if anyone out there who also has a brilliant taste of music (what i meant by brilliant ITS THE BEATLES) come out! talk to me for Christ sake! lol.
