In The Mood for Love

unarguably the most gorgeous, well-made film ive seen there ever was! hands down to the great WONG KAR WAI. in the mood for love as i described it as a moving renaissance painting. what so good or should i say "great" about this film is that, how wong kar wai made this film. since its really in his thing that every movie he make, he makes it a point that not only the story is great but how it is made as well. the color that he uses is so powerful its like almost hypnotizing in such way. the cinematography is jaw dropping i was goddamn hooked! and also the scoring, man it gave me chils! the umeji theme that he used perfectly fits to the character so much! and lastly his camera movements, from the slow phasing smokes out of tony leung's cigars is soo very hunting as if it has a story of its own and up to the focusing on the raindrops falling on the floor..is ahrg! well at first you'll notice what the hell was that all about? what the hell was that for?. well actually that his one of wong kar wai's thing that made him asia'a great director in line with the other legends like akira kurosawa, zang yimou, kenji mizoguchi, ang lee. about the story, its a about 2 couples who lives in the same building not knowing that their partners is having an affair with each other. tricky huh? tony leung and maggie cheung deliver their acting so great and so realistic to the extent that you would forget that its just a film! thats how great they were in this movie. of all films ive seen of wong kar wai, this one is by far the best.
